The advertising campaign to encourage people to study at Melbourne University has been launched. What are your thoughts on how the University is 'selling' Growing Esteem?

spending all that cash on a purile advertisement... why not employ more lecturers and tutors, or spend the 100 million on equity scholarships? I'm a propsective uni student for next year- I won't be going to melbourne, I'm going to stufy Law/Arts straight up if I get in- and I won't even have to move out of my parent's place in Geelong- Deakin is just down the road.

I find it disgusting that the University can spend so much on these ad's (that are completely over the top) and on the dodgy phamphlet in the Age (that had made up case studies) when my lecture at uni doesn't even have enough seats for the people who turn up. Shame.

The University needs to Dreamlarge by shifting to 100% green energy, which would make it carbon neutral. Dreaming large involves acting according to the principle of inter-generational equity.
